Boy what a week! A week filled with excitement and great news. One of our best friends has come to stay with us for a month, and after 5 very long months of looking for employment since being laid off, I received an offer to join a fantastic organization. Which by the way only took 5 interviews. Suffice it to say, the week didn't provide many opportunities to shoot. However, given that we now have 3 Boston Terriers running loose through the house ( 1 is ours, 2 our best friends, 1 of which is the sister of ours ), there was this opportunity to catch Chopper sitting on the floor in our bedroom, lit by the evenings sunset. It's like there's someone in there wanting to talk to me!
Great shot Bill. I watched a video earlier this week about the inverse square law in regards to light fall off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5BIvSBjvLg&feature=player_embedded
ReplyDeleteSince watching the video this shot is the first example I've seen applying this technique and makes me want to try it myself now too! It's a handy concept to change the darkness of a background without buying a black backdrop.
