Dog Days of Summer - Bill at Bmcvisuals

Well, the long weekend was a write off as far as the weather was concerned!  Well, that is except for Saturday.  It proved to be hot and just what the doctor ordered.  Like my very first post, you can see just how much my Boston loves the sun.  She did a few mad dashes into the lake, chased her shadow on the sand, then sat and soaked in the warmth from the sun.  Until the black flies got her at least, nibble nibble.

This is late by the way, but I see that my cohort was late also, 13 minutes after midnight.  That's okay, it's our first.

Have a good one.  Bill

Foggy Nuke - Peter Verboom

I was driving home on the 401 Monday night and saw a large patch of fog just over the lake. I grabbed my gear and rushed down to the Pickering Waterfront to capture some images but by then the dense fog had moved eastward. This photo shows the tail end of it travelling between the reactors of the nuclear plant. The water was rough from the high winds so I did a long exposure of 3.2 seconds to smooth the waves. I would have tried a longer exposure to increase the effect, but I was at F32 and ISO 100 already and do not yet have any ND filters in my kit. If my girlfriend is reading this, my birthday is coming up ;)
